TSMC Reportedly Speeds Up 1.4nm Production to April 2027

TSMC may begin trial production of its 1.4-nanometer (14A) process at its Taichung facility in April 2027, succeeding its 2-nanometer technology. The report says construction started in October and the site will include four factories, with one steel structure already laid out. If timelines hold, the P2 factory could be finished by October next year and support mass production in October 2027, ahead of prior 2028 expectations.
