Tri Counties Bank announced a $25,000 donation to help complete the Downtown Redding Steam Whistle, a community landmark. Three steel pipes are already in place, and the funding will support steam-generation equipment, programmable controls, musical synchronization, and up to 12 authentic whistle sounds modeled on 19th-century trains to bring the landmark to life.
