US data for 2025 shows hybrid sales reaching 2.05 million, outpacing battery-electric sales at 1.26 million. Worldwide, hybrids grew to about 16.3 million, while Tesla and BYD together delivered 3.86 million BEVs, positioning Toyota for further EV-driven gains.
