Toyota Takes Stake in Daimler-Volvo Hydrogen Fuel Cell Venture

Toyota announced it is entering the hydrogen fuel cell market for commercial vehicles, signing in July an agreement to take a stake in cellcentric, the Daimler Truck–Volvo Group joint venture. Toyota plans to supply core fuel-cell technologies to cellcentric. The push for hydrogen trucks and charging infrastructure is expanding across China, Japan, the EU, and beyond, including South Korea.
