Toyota will enter a binding joint venture with the Volvo Group and Daimler Truck as equal partners and shareholders in hydrogen fuel-cell company Cellsonic. The collaboration builds on Cellsonic’s patent portfolio and industrial scale, and is expected to strengthen heavy-duty fuel-cell development and expand hydrogen supply and infrastructure across the value chain, with Cellsonic continuing as an independent company.
