Toyota is recalling about 10,000 Battery Electric Vehicle C-HR units where the electronic control unit may let regenerative braking send more energy into a nearly or fully charged high-voltage battery than it can safely accept. The electric drive can cut out, causing loss of motive power at higher speeds and raising crash risk. Only 2026 model-year C-HRs are affected, with potential inclusion of international versions.
