French defense company Thales SA sold a €1 billion bond to help fund its acquisition of maritime robotics firm Exail Technologies SA. The dual-tranche issue from Paris was evenly split between four- and eight-year maturities, drawing more than €2.55 billion in demand. Final spreads were 45 basis points over mid-swaps on the shorter note and 65 on the longer.
