Thales and Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) signed a strategic alliance to develop and locally produce 70mm rocket systems in India. The plan covers technology sharing and manufacture of unguided and laser-guided rockets, with Thales supplying expertise on 2.75in rockets and launchers and KSSL providing integration via its facilities, aiming for the first fully Indian-produced rockets by early 2027. Advanced variants are intended for counter-drone missions.
