Talcher Fertilisers Limited and NTPC Limited have submitted applications under the Centre’s Rs 37,500 crore coal and lignite gasification scheme, after the Ministry of Coal rejected claims that there were no bidders. The ministry said the first application window remains open until September 7 and expects the approved program to catalyse large investment and create jobs.
