NAVAIR documentation pegs the initiative’s estimated aggregate value at $819 million over five years. Textron Systems received two Naval Air Systems Command task orders to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance using contractor-owned, contractor-operated runway-independent drones for 7th Fleet in the Pacific and other U.S. forces. Awards on Aug. 24 and Aug. 31 are worth up to about $43 million and $42 million, including Maritime B-Kits and operational support periods.
