Texas Instruments and GE partnership to power smarter, efficient appliances

Texas Instruments and GE announced a partnership to use TI semiconductors in GE’s next generation of appliances. The chips are expected to enable appliances that are smarter, quieter, and more energy-efficient. Microchips made at TI’s Sherman facility, and other U.S. sites, will supply about a third of the components for GE’s new Louisville, Kentucky laundry plant beginning in 2027.
