Tesla to Recall 20,000 Vehicles Over Too-Bright Headlights
Tesla will recall about 20,000 vehicles, including 2020–2023 Model Ys and roughly 1,600 Model 3s, because headlight low-beams can exceed the maximum allowed intensity. Regulators warned reduced visibility could increase crash risk. The issue dates to 2023 testing findings, and Tesla sought an exemption from notification and remedy rules before agreeing to a voluntary recall; letters are expected Sept. 15.
