A Tesla Cybercab rider posted video showing a manual driving mode: the touchscreen displayed a virtual joystick for hand driving. The Cybercab launched in Austin on Sept. 3, the same day NHTSA opened an audit into how Tesla certified a vehicle without steering wheel, pedals, or mirrors, covering about 1,000 units. Tesla has marketed the cab as needing no manual controls.
