TEPCO Renewable Power Begins EIA for Up to 420MW Choshi Offshore Wind
TEPCO Renewable Power has started the environmental impact assessment for a proposed offshore wind project up to 420MW off Choshi, Chiba. Planning-stage documents were submitted on 20 August 2026 and will be publicly inspected from 21 August to 25 September. The plan covers about 40km² in a sea-area promotion zone, with 21–27 turbines of 15–20MW each, as TEPCO looks to join an upcoming re-tender.
