Symbotic has started installing its first SymMicro system for e-commerce fulfillment in the back of a Walmart store, as part of a pact announced last year. The system is expected to go live in about six months, with more sites following once it works. The deal includes Symbotic’s 2025 acquisition of Walmart’s robotics business and Walmart’s contingent promise to buy 400 automated systems.
