Swiss Re Flags $200B Commercial Insurance Potential From Infrastructure Boom
Swiss Re Institute estimates that physical infrastructure investment could drive about $200 billion in cumulative commercial P&C premiums by 2030, with AI data centers contributing $91 billion and renewable energy $111 billion. Digital infrastructure spending by U.S.-listed firms has risen above 1.6% of GDP. Swiss Re says the main constraint is whether projects are insurable as interconnected assets reduce diversification and spread losses.
