Supervielle Returns to Profit as Layoffs Reshape the Bank
Grupo Supervielle reported second-quarter net income of AR$12.8 billion, swinging from a prior-quarter AR$18.2 billion loss. Results hinge on a restructuring that cuts headcount by 17%, targeting AR$42 billion in annualized personnel savings by late 2026. Adjusted net income rose to AR$36.2 billion, with adjusted ROAE reaching 12.4%. The bank also expanded distribution via Aerolíneas Argentinas and Flash Argentina.
