Studsvik selected GE Vernova Hitachi and Samsung C&T for a phased 1.2-GW to 1.6-GW BWRX-300 nuclear project in Sweden, planned for Studsvik’s licensed site in Nyköping or Valdemarsvik. A project company will support development, financing, construction, ownership and operation, with host site selection during development and first unit expected in the mid-2030s, aiming for standardized deployment benefits.
