Strike ballot set to open over job cuts at Diageo’s Cameronbridge Distillery
Unite Union says a strike ballot will open tomorrow over potential job cuts at Diageo’s Cameronbridge grain whisky plant in Fife. About 100 members will vote after allegations that Diageo failed to consult on redundancies. With roughly 200 employed, Unite says 70+ roles are under review. Diageo says crew reductions would affect up to 12 jobs and that alternatives are available, amid a $1 billion global cost-cut plan.
