Stellantis to Assemble Leapmotor EVs in Spain Starting 2026
Stellantis will begin assembling Leapmotor EVs at its Zaragoza-area plant in Spain, starting with the Leapmotor B10 compact crossover in the second half of 2026. The shift follows last year’s $20B loss and canceled all-electric Ram 1500 plus U.S. plug-in models like the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, while U.S. electrification pivots to Recon EV and range-extended EREVs. Local production may help offset Chinese EV tariffs.
