Starbucks to lay off 224 workers, including those refusing Nashville move
Starbucks will lay off 224 employees, including 120 corporate workers who declined relocation to a new Nashville office and 104 staff from the stores design and construction team. The cuts end a May restructuring that eliminated 252 corporate roles. CEO Brian Niccol targets $2B in savings through cost reductions; the layoffs run from Oct. 19 to Nov. 1.
