Starbucks Closes Downtown Seattle Store as WA Layoffs Rise
Starbucks closed another downtown Seattle store and has laid off around 900 employees in Washington, shutting at least 28 stores statewide. The downtown closure came with layoffs of 69 workers. The company said it will move or hire about 2,000 workers in a new Nashville office over five years, after cutting 61 corporate roles in Seattle in May.
