Star Health and Allied Insurance Company reported Q1FY27 net profit of ₹550 crore, up 25% year on year, under Ind AS accounting. Underwriting profit rose to ₹111 crore from ₹16 crore. Gross written premium increased 19% to ₹4,287 crore, with retail fresh GWP up 37%. The insurer settled 9.6 lakh claims and improved its retail claims settlement ratio to 91%.
