Spotify Rolls Out AI Persona Label for AI-Generated Songs

Spotify is rolling out an “AI Persona” system to identify songs created with artificial intelligence, using the label to distinguish them from real-artist work. It will not recommend AI Persona tracks in suggested playlists unless subscribers opt in, while users can flag suspected AI songs and artists can appeal mislabels. The effort also builds on prior AI Credits features and label rollout starting Aug. 11, with profile labels expected mid-September.
