Spotify Requires Labels for AI-Generated Songs in Search and Playlists

Spotify said it wants listeners to distinguish between songs by real artists and AI-generated tracks. It will not recommend songs labeled as AI Personas in suggested playlists unless subscribers opt in, and users can flag suspected AI work. Artists can appeal mislabels; creators can mark songs as AI starting Aug. 11, with labels showing mid-September.
