SpiceJet employees at Bengaluru’s airport threatened an indefinite strike over delayed salary payments, saying wages have been inconsistent since October 2025 and three months remain unpaid. Some security personnel reportedly refused duty on August 9 but resumed after senior officials assured pay would be credited within a day. Other airline staff also threatened flashes strikes, and SpiceJet denied one, amid added Independence Day security measures.
