Spain’s Ministry of Defence said it does not oppose SAIC Motor’s plan to build its first European MG-brand new-energy vehicle plant in Galicia. After months of security review tied to concerns about proximity to a naval port, the Defense Minister pledged to support the project when it comes before the cabinet. The project involves about €200 million, aims for production from 2028, with capacity around 120,000 vehicles and roughly 1,000 jobs.
