SpaceX and Northrop Grumman Clear Golden Dome Space-Based Interceptor Tests
US Space Force’s Golden Dome missile-defense program has cleared its first round of critical tests for space-based missile interceptors, with SpaceX and Northrop Grumman among the firms. In May, the Space Force awarded SpaceX a $2.29 billion SDN Backbone contract, and in July it ordered 18 Falcon 9 launches through 2027 for Pentagon satellites, supporting raised sales and profit guidance.
