SK Telecom Spins Off AI Data Center Company SK Horizon, With KKR and IMM Investments
SK Telecom plans to split SK Broadband into a surviving fixed-line, media and enterprise-focused company and a new AI data center unit, SK Horizon, spun from data center and submarine cable businesses. KKR and the IMM Investment-Stonebridge consortium will each invest as part of a combined KRW 3.08 trillion equity funding, while SKT oversees AI data center operations and SK Hyper develops GW-scale projects.
