SK Hynix Reaches Tentative Wage Deal, Looks to Expand AI Memory in Japan
SK Hynix and its labor union have reached a tentative wage agreement, with most performance bonuses to be paid in company stock rather than cash. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won warned of a severe semiconductor supply-demand imbalance next year as AI memory demand surges, and highlighted Japan as a hub for AI infrastructure and possible overseas fab expansion.
