SK Hynix Considers Japanese JV to Meet NAND Demand
SK Hynix is assessing possible semiconductor fabrication sites across Japan for a joint-venture plant, seeking regions with reliable power and water to ease global AI supply bottlenecks. The project would aim to expand NAND flash and memory output amid unprecedented demand for AI servers and data storage. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won said the search is underway at a Sendai business conference.
