SJVN completed the 72-hour trial run of Unit-2 (660 MW) of the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar, finishing on 31 August 2026. With the unit performing successfully, SJVN is preparing it for commercial commissioning. The two 660 MW units are expected to generate about 9,828.72 million units of electricity annually as part of the company’s thermal portfolio.
