SIPEF Acquires Tiabam Plantation to Expand Banana Operations in Côte d’Ivoire

SIPEF, the Belgian agribusiness group, says it has expanded its banana operations by acquiring Tiabam, a 450-hectare banana plantation in Côte d’Ivoire’s Tiassalé region, via Plantations J. Eglin. The deal is set to be integrated with the group’s Akoudjé operations to raise total production to about 70,000 tons while targeting sustainable growth for local communities.
