Sinopec has worked with Kazakh organizations to advance CO2-related carbon capture and asks for stronger international coordination on CCUS technologies, standards, and deployment models. China is expanding CCUS capture and transport infrastructure, including a 1 million metric ton integrated demonstration project, and Sinopec is studying a 10 million ton CCUS cluster to share transport and storage systems, supported by the ICTO network.
