Singtel Reports Q2 Profit Beat as Optus and Digital Services Grow

Singtel reported underlying net profit of S$831 million for the quarter ended June 30, above Visible Alpha’s S$746.1 million estimate and the prior year. Optus posted A$152 million operating earnings, up 14%, while NCS’s operating earnings rose 29% and Digital InfraCo grew 10%. This offset a 3.1% decline in Singtel Singapore operating revenue from intense price competition and lower mobile average revenue per user.
