Siemens Energy readies Omterra separation and explores turbine stake sale
Siemens Energy is preparing its Transformation of Industry unit—set to operate as Omterra—for separation from the group’s balance sheet. The parent plans to keep only a significant minority stake and is exploring external investors and a capital markets transaction, with Goldman Sachs advising. The industrial unit needs near-term funding as Siemens Energy pursues its own multibillion-euro investment agenda, and a stake sale in the steam turbine business is also being considered.
