Siemens combines automation units and names Rainer Brehm President of Automation

Siemens is restructuring its automation portfolio by combining four business units and creating a single Automation organization. Rainer Brehm has been appointed President of Automation and will start Oct. 1, 2026, reporting to CEO Digital Industries Cedrik Neike. The unit will focus on automation, software and AI, building on Brehm’s automation and CTO background.
