Siemens Mobility and Rostocker Straßenbahn AG have started trial operations of Signaling X for urban public transport in Germany. The pilot follows successful tests in Singapore and uses a modern safety platform with standard hardware to support efficient centralized maintenance and future digitalization. The rollout marks a new debut of the system in Germany’s urban rail transit.
