ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for an intrusion at Baxter and leaked about 7.1 million records it said were stolen, some containing personally identifiable information. Baxter said unauthorized activity was detected in certain third-party applications on Aug. 13, 2026. After a negotiation deadline of Aug. 17, the group released the data for download on Aug. 19.
