Sembcorp Utilities gets conditional EMA approval for 300MW cross-border power import
Sembcorp Utilities, a Sembcorp Industries subsidiary, received conditional approval from Singapore’s Energy Market Authority to proceed with a 300MW renewable power import from Peninsular Malaysia to Singapore. The project will be based at Linggiu Reservoir in Johor, using an estimated 2.2GWp floating solar system with up to 4.3GWh of BESS, with operations planned for 2029 subject to approvals and progress.
