Scripps Issues Additional Pink Slips in Regional TV Restructuring
Scripps is rolling out a new structure that splits its local TV station operations into 11 regional territories managed by regional general managers overseeing up to four markets each. The plan requires parting ways with 27 local market and sales leadership positions, with local news directors reporting to regional leadership. Scripps also issued another round of pink slips to more than two dozen senior executives as part of the restructuring.
