Scripps completed its $15.8 million purchase of WTVQ, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, from Morris Network. The deal creates a duopoly with Scripps’ existing NBC affiliate WLEX, expanding the company’s local media footprint in Central Kentucky. Earlier this year, Scripps also sold WFTX in Fort Myers and WRTV in Indianapolis for combined gross proceeds of $123 million.
