Saudi Energy Company and ACWA Sign SAR 3.25B Battery Storage Projects
Saudi Energy Company and ACWA Power signed agreements to develop, build and operate three independent battery energy storage projects in Saudi Arabia, with total investment of up to SAR 3.25 billion for 15 years. Each project targets 500 MW and 2,000 MWh, with 35.1% and 34.9% stakes. The deals aim to expand electricity storage to support renewable growth and improve grid utilization.
