Sandvik to supply underground drilling and loading fleet for Karowe mine

Sandvik will provide Lucara Botswana with a 15-unit underground fleet of drills and loaders, plus parts, rock tools, and aftermarket and digital services, for the Karowe diamond mine. The Q2 2026 order is being delivered through Q4 2026 and includes a financing package via Sandvik Financial Services backed by EKN. The deal supports Lucara’s shift from open-pit to underground to extend mine life past 2038.
