Samyang Foods’ Buldak boom drives record overseas sales and profit in Q2

Samyang Foods reported 770.3 billion won in second-quarter sales, up 39.3% year-on-year, driven mainly by record overseas revenue of 645.8 billion won (+46.7%). The firm cited better overseas distribution and more efficient domestic production, including its Miryang plant. Buldak surpassed 10 billion units cumulatively by end-May, boosting North and Central America (+54%), China (+44%) and Europe (+61%). Operating margin was 23% for the quarter.
