Samsung to Invest $37B in Taylor as SK Hynix and Hyundai Step Up U.S. Buildout
Samsung Electronics reported non-current assets in the Americas of 40.6414 trillion won as of end-June, up 47.8%, and said it will invest $37 billion in Taylor to build its first and second plants. The first is set to start this year and the second will break ground late this year with mass production targeted for 2030. SK hynix will build a $3.87 billion Indiana packaging fab, with operations targeted for Q2 2028, while Hyundai plans $26 billion in U.S. investments by 2028; together the push nears 100 trillion won.
