Samsung Teams With US Oak Ridge Lab to Develop Extreme-Cold Heat Pumps
Samsung Electronics is partnering with the US Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop heat-pump technology that can deliver reliable heating and hot water below minus 30°C. The research targets vapor-compression systems using a single compressor to improve performance in extreme cold testing, including Fairbanks conditions, with evaluation of capacity, efficiency, stability, and long-term hot-water output.
