Samsung SDI to Cut Samsung Display Stake to Free Investment Capital

Samsung SDI plans to sell down its stake in affiliated display maker Samsung Display to free capital for future growth. The company will reduce its holding from 15.2% to 10.2% by selling 13.09 million shares at KRW 304,000 each, raising KRW 4.45 trillion. Samsung Display will buy the shares back as treasury stock, with valuation to change during repurchase.
