Samsung Electronics’ largest labor union chief and a senior union official are under investigation for allegedly stealing personal information of about 100,000 employees to compile a “union blacklist.” Hwaseong Dongtan Police referred them to prosecutors without detention for violating the personal information protection law, after Samsung filed complaints in April, including allegations they accessed internal systems about 20,000 times in roughly an hour.
