Samsung Electronics sues CMA CGM over alleged unlawful pandemic charges
Samsung says its Federal Maritime Commission filing with CMA CGM centers on who bears costs for pandemic-era supply delays. In 2020 Samsung shifted to prepaid store-door contracts for inland transport, but alleges CMA CGM failed and charged about $120,000 in unlawful D&D fees while storage practices held containers and inflated costs. Samsung estimates it paid $148 million in disputes plus $8 million to complete inland deliveries.
